My illustration in the Boston Globe today. I’m crying from happiness. Haha…
So, this was my biggest dream, having an editorial job, working with an art director, to see my work published in a big newspaper. I still can’t believe it. It was my biggest dream since I was just a graphic design student in Istanbul. I didn’t finish my studying there, to pursue my dream I came to NY with my husband. Now seeing this newspaper in front of me, I can’t describe how happy I am. Thank you for your nice messages everyone! I really really thank every one of you for supporting me! :-)

A very nice tumblr user wanted to see how my creative process is. Here it is. First, I had the sketch and thought on my sketchbook ‘How I feel in NYC’ and then I drew some characters, then I drew them on photoshop digitally. Then I gave them colors and worked on my composition. A little editing and texture, here is the result. I hope you enjoy it.

*I don’t use Illustrator program, I use Photoshop program, and I use wacom tablet. Mostly I draw with hand first, I draw with pencil or ink and I scan it, color it on Photoshop program. But for this artwork I only worked digitally. I draw my sketches digitally with my tablet.
